Jacqui: "Training with Kirsty keeps my body strong and flexible and my mind positive and confident, which for horse riding is essential!"
“My journey with Kirsty began about 4 years ago, with me wanting to improve my horse riding skills and generally to get fitter, although, being in my late 50’s I thought this wasn’t possible!!
Kirsty was quick to squash that theory and has always been encouraging and positive, adapting the program to suit my regular physical and emotional challenges!
Kirsty has always understood and never made me feel bad about my challenges, always celebrating when I am consistent and make progress!! With her seemingly never ending enthusiasm :)
Kirsty can work with any age and any fitness level with understanding, commitment and positivity to always achieve your personal best, no matter what that is.
Having had 2 lots of back surgeries prior to working with Kirsty I was very nervous of strength based programmes and had stuck to pilates and yoga, which were my safe “go to” but they didn’t improve my overall strength.
Kirsty ensured, by scaffolding my training and ensuring I performed the exercises appropriately that I wasn’t going to hurt my back again, and as I got stronger and more flexible I had less pain and was able to engage in daily tasks like lift a 20kg bag of horse feed on my own!!
I also found that if I didn’t continue to engage in some level of strength training my back would let me know! When I’m stronger I have no pain, simple as that. :)
I also regularly use Kirsty’s bend and stretch workouts on the APP and find these so beneficial to do before I go to work for my flexibility.
I love her attention to detail when training 1:1 tweaking a movement to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved and always finding another way to explain.
Finally, she is always striving to improve her programmes to ensure she can offer a top quality service. Training with Kirsty keeps my body strong and flexible and my mind positive and confident, which for horse riding is essential, and as we age is also essential to help prevent those “old aged” aches and pains.”
